Weaver's Garden Tour

Earlier this month I was invited to tour my friends' garden situated in the rolling hills of Holmes County, Ohio. It was an unusual experience in that I am more accustomed to helping with the planting, weeding, and trimming of flowers than walking among them with my camera in hand.

The Weaver Gardens were part of the Holmes County Garden Tour, which took place on July 7. I was graciously offered a ticket, and with the Weavers' permission, I share the inspiring views with you on this beautiful summer morning.

9. Reykjavik, Iceland

That is a commendable way to greet each new day, for we know the mercy of the Lord is new every morning. And so we journey ever onward, upward. That being said, I readily acknowledge pangs of sorrow at leaving England behind.

It's a brand new day in Iceland and bright as can be at 6 o'clock in the morning. The sun is already high above the mountain and smiling down on these weary travelers.

Let me backtrack for perspective. We left English soil at 9 PM and the skies were far from dark, as you can see in the next photo, whereas the jet-in-the-clouds photo was taken three hours later during our approach to Iceland. There was no darkness at all during this night of flight. This new-to-me twenty-four hour daylight experience has been a treat but sleep calls.
